‘Monster’ Holland’s assistant is on the way… Man City in talks

Manchester City are in full swing in their pursuit of Jérémy Dokou (21-Stad Rennes).

City won the English Premier League (EPL), FA Cup, and the coveted UEFA Champions League (UCL) title last season. It was the first treble in the club’s history. This summer, they added Mateo Kovacic and Josuco Gvardiol to further strengthen their squad.

There were also departures. Riyad Mahrez, who has been with City since the 2018-19 season, has left the club. Mahrez joined City after a fairytale title run at Leicester. Mahrez anchored City’s right flank attack, but this summer he was offered a move to Saudi Arabia’s Al Ahli.

City explored several players as replacements. Kaoru Mitoma (26-Tottenham) has been mentioned as a name within the Premier League. “City are looking to fill the void left by Mahrez with Mitoma,” The Sun reported.

While Mitoma has been mentioned, Doku has recently emerged as the favorite. Toku is a wing forward who utilizes his immense speed to shake up the flanks. Despite his lack of height, his quick feet and body balance make him an exceptional talent. 안전놀이터

While playing for Rennes, Dokou led Ligue 1 in dribble breaks in the 2020-21 season. He’s still young and lacks a lot of detail, but his attacking talent has earned him a place in the Belgian side of Man City’s expectations.

On the 16th (KST), ‘Football London’ reported, “Man City have opened negotiations for the transfer of Dockoo and detailed discussions on the transfer will take place. City also wanted Michael Oliseh (Palace) but decided that Dokou was a better fit and pushed ahead with the deal.”
