The Korea National Under-15 Baseball Team, which is participating in the 11th Asian Youth Baseball Confederation (AYBC), has won its first Super Round game with a sweep of China.
On Thursday, the team earned an 11-1 victory over China, the second-ranked team in Group A, in the first game of the Super Round at the Weihai Baseball Field in China.
Korea took an early lead in the first inning with back-to-back RBI doubles from No. 3 hitters Uhm Jun-sang and Seol Jae-min.
The team allowed China to score in the bottom of the second inning, but then exploded in the top of the third inning without allowing a single run.
The team will play the second game of the Super Round against Japan, who topped Group A, on May 25 at 15:00 (KST).
Meanwhile, the first and second place finishers in the Super Round will advance to the finals based on the combined results of the preliminary round (one game) and the Super Round (two games), and in the event of a tie, the TQB [Team Quality Balance; between tied teams, average runs scored in offensive innings – average runs allowed in defensive innings] will be applied to determine the final ranking. 소닉카지노
