Busan City announced on the 22nd that it will hold an affiliation agreement ceremony with the KCC Aegis professional basketball team at Sajik Indoor Gymnasium on the 25th.
This is an official declaration ceremony to inform basketball fans of the’Busan KCC Aegis’ basketball team beyond the simple signing of an agreement between the city and the basketball team.
More than 700 people, including Busan Mayor Park Hyung-jun, KCC Aegis players, and Busan citizens, will attend the signing ceremony to officially announce the relocation of the KCC Aegis basketball team to Busan.
Mayor Park, Ahn Sung-min, Chairman of the Busan City Council, Jung Jae-hoon, owner and players of the KCC Aegis professional basketball team, the BNK Thumb women’s basketball team, which shares the Sajik Indoor Gymnasium, and Busan citizens will gather.
In addition, prior to the signing ceremony, there will be celebratory events to communicate with fans, such as ▲KCC Aegis Basketball Team departure ceremony ▲new uniform unveiling ▲fan signing ceremony.
Head coach Jeon Chang-jin, coach Lee Sang-min, and players Heo Woong, Choi Jun-yong, and Jeong Chang-young will appear in full force. The basketball team’s appearance and fan signing ceremony will be held at the venue without prior registration.
The city has been supporting the Busan KCC Basketball Team to successfully settle in Busan since the KBL announced its approval to relocate the team.
The city also plans to run various events and programs in conjunction with the professional team to focus the attention of Busan citizens on the relocation of the KCC Aegis professional basketball team and revitalize basketball.
In addition to the existing child and youth club leagues (for U10, U12, and U15), a new Busan-type I-League will be established to cover U18 and female basketball players. The existing club vs. club youth basketball tournament will also be expanded in number and scale to keep pace with the establishment of KCC’s directly managed sports clubs, and the public and private sectors will work together to foster basketball dreamers.
The city will also expand the size of the Beginners’ Tournament, establish a 3X3 basketball tournament, and hold a professional team basketball tournament to expand the base of enthusiasts. It is also promoting infrastructure expansion by installing facilities dedicated to 3X3 basketball and basketball courts in new sports facilities.
The opening game of the Busan KCC Aegis Pro Basketball Team 스포츠토토 will be held on October 22 at 4 p.m. at its new home, Sajik Indoor Gymnasium.
